Happy is a med-long hair, "Russian Blue" all grey cat... a very beautiful guy.  He is timid, and that has not worked in his favor in 2 prior adoptions by a shelter.  He was brought back twice and given some labels from the oral history provided by his second adopter that meant he would be euthanized by the shelter.  Instead they offered him to our rescue.  We've had him a few weeks and neither behavior reported by the adopter who turned him in has proven to be true here, so we have to believe that it was the household/adopter who created these problems, not the cat.  That said, he is timid, and if a person wants an immediate lapcat and is not willing to work with the cat for a while, then this is the wrong cat for you.  He was first adopted as a little kitten and was normal.  Those folks brought him back and the shelter re-adopted him to a family that kept him a while and then rejected him... We have done a bit of rehab with him (it's pretty easy because he is gentle and easy going if you do not pressure him or get rough with him)... And he seems to be fine.  But he is very shy... So a special owner/home is needed.  Otherwise, a very nice cat.  We like to do trial adoptions in cases like this, so we would place him with a prospective adopter for 2 weeks to see if it is a workable adoption, thus giving you a chance to see how well you do with Happy.  Thanks!
