Handsome Vino was abandoned with his brother Pasta after his original owners decided to have all the claws removed from both cats paws. This practice is considered to be cruel and painful for the cats, and humane animal organizations normally don’t allow it.

Vino does love people and wants to rub against you and be petted. He is nervous around other cats and animals, so would do best in a single animal home. He can never be allowed outdoors due to the declaw. Other than his initial shyness (needs 3-4 days to adjust to a new environment and will cry when in a carrier), Vino has no behavioral issues that we are aware of. We’ve had him for about a month, and would love to find a great new home for Vino, one where the owners will never treat him mean or throw him away.  If you are looking for a declawed cat, give Vino a chance.  He's just been through a lot and is ready for a nicer life now.
